thanks for looking.I couldnt agree more, the hip stick is a terrific invention and has put the pleasure back into it, as after years of swinging all types of coils I developed a very tender shoulder joint, sort of like an rsi thing I guess and it will usually start to burn after about 30 mins with any coil over the 11" mark.Īfter putting the hipstick on for the first time it took me about 15 mins to get used to the way you have to swing with it, there is some restriction but once you get used to it and then the realisation hits you that you dont have any pain in your back or in my case mostly the shoulder then you know you are on to something good. If you have doubts about this, read the feed back from others who have now got one!! I put some powdered graphite in as lube but that's just a personal thing, How ever,I strongly recommend that you use powered graphite on you hipstick to enhance the life of your ball joint and socket, sand and dirt are a good abrasive. These suit all hipsticks that have the standard socket joint Though it will fit it is not Practical on the newer long thin sockets supplied with hipsticks SEE PHOTO WITH RED SOCKET JOINT the ball sits too low, so bit too much play. I have made these out of polyurethane plastic coloured black. When digging that target you just unclip your bungee cord as normal, the hipstick will be a touch to your side anyway, and does not interfere with your digging, no more popping out and then have to fiddle with the retaining rubber!!! Just hook the bungee cord on and walk away. When removing your harness, leave the hipstick clipped up the top' just pull the Socket section out of your belt.
This little baby just screws into place and retains the ball joint in its socket, with all the room to move as usual.
